attention bassists:
unleash your angst.
keep your low end.
Finally, a bass fuzz pedal that flips the bird to weak tone — and keeps your low end huge. Hand-built in the USA. Modeled after a snarling 1972 fuzz circuit.
Most fuzz pedals force bass players to compromise: thinned-out tone, scooped lows, or signals that vanish in the mix.
Not anymore.
Introducing the Fuzz Off & Die signature bass fuzz pedal, created by Alan Robert (Metal Hall of Fame bassist for Life of Agony), and engineered by gear legend Terry Welty (Geezer Butler’s Ashdown Head of Doom amp, EMG GZR pickups, tech for Black Sabbath and Foreigner).

FUZZ OFF & DIE
✦
FUZZ OFF & DIE ✦
Why Many Pro Bass Players Consider ‘Fuzz Off & Die’ One of the Best new Bass Fuzz Pedals
Most fuzz pedals were built for guitar — and when bass runs through them, the low end disappears.
Fuzz Off & Die was tuned specifically to prevent that. Inspired by a raw ’72-style circuit and dialed in for bass frequencies, it keeps your fundamental signal intact while delivering thick, controllable aggression. Roll the tone back and it smooths the edge without hollowing out your sound. Open it up and it bites — without losing authority in the mix.
Hand-built in the USA for players who want real tone, real weight, and no compromise.
Words From the Pros.
Straight Talk. No B.S.
“Built Like a Tank.”
Matt Freeman
Multi-Platinum-selling bassist, Rancid, Operation Ivy
“Really great bass distortion/fuzz is not easy to achieve. This pedal makes it easy. It can dial in as little or as much as you need without losing low-end tone, and it’s built like a tank.”
“Iconic tone.”
David Ellefson
Grammy Award–winning founding bassist, Megadeth
“Alan Robert is truly one of the OGs of the New York hardcore scene, and his tone with Life of Agony is at the cornerstone of it all. Super glad to see the Fuzz Off & Die pedal in action—it adds to an already iconic tone.”
“Hefty & Powerful.”
Jeff Pilson
Platinum-selling bassist, Foreigner, Dokken
“Fuzz Off & Die sounds and feels like an amp when it’s on the verge of blowing, hitting that magical sweet spot that—until now—only a loud tube amp could deliver. Plus, it never thins out the sound like most units do. It’s hefty and powerful. I don’t think I’d ever need anything else to achieve killer distortion on my bass.”
“Nasty As Hell.”
Craig Setari
NY Hardcore veteran bassist, Sick Of It All, Straight Ahead
“This pedal is perfect when you want a quick boost or you wanna get a little filthy without making a mess. The bottom end stays nice and warm while creating a strong growl, without sacrificing your fundamental sound. I’ll be stomping the sh*t outta this thing regularly.”
“GROUND SHAKING.”
NEIL JASON
“Fuzz Off and Whatttt? This is the box that will melt your pedal board. From the mind of Life of Agony’s Alan Robert comes the most searing bass fuzz you’ve ever experienced. Plug it in and stand back. It’s time to FUZZ OFF!”
Legendary A-list studio session bassist
“Balls Out Vicious.”
Joey Zampella
“Fuzz Off & Die is balls out vicious! It’s Alan Robert tone in a mini-tank! We used a prototype in our last Life of Agony recording and we didn’t need much else in Bass World after that!
Acclaimed Producer, Life of Agony
UNDEr THE HOOD.
Fuzz Off & Die is engineered to respect the natural low-frequency energy of your signal, allowing heavy saturation without sacrificing the core frequencies that define your tone. Rather than flattening or filtering your sound, the circuit responds to the bass you feed it, maintaining clarity and authority as gain increases.
Modeled after a classic 1972 fuzz circuit, the design was carefully re-voiced and refined to accommodate bass fundamentals instead of removing them. Built by hand in the USA, this bass-aware architecture sets Fuzz Off & Die apart from fuzz pedals adapted from guitar-centric designs.
Operating on 9V DC center-negative power (20mA) with true bypass switching and a standard 2.1mm DC input, Fuzz Off & Die is designed for seamless integration into modern pedalboard systems. Housed in a durable 5.125" octagonal enclosure with a 1.5" depth, every unit is built for reliability on stage and in the studio.

Bass Fuzz Pedal FAQ
What makes a bass fuzz pedal different from a guitar fuzz pedal?
Most traditional fuzz circuits were designed for guitar and can thin out low frequencies when used with bass. A dedicated bass fuzz pedal is tuned to preserve the fundamental signal and low-end response so your tone stays full and authoritative in the mix.
Does ‘Fuzz Off & Die’ preserve low end?
Yes. The circuit was dialed in specifically for bass frequencies to keep your fundamental signal intact while adding thick, controllable aggression. It delivers grind without hollowing out your bottom end.
Why do some players consider this one of the best bass fuzz pedals?
Players often look for a fuzz that adds character without sacrificing weight. Fuzz Off & Die enhances harmonic texture while maintaining core low-frequency presence, which is why many bassists view it as one of the best bass fuzz pedals for retaining punch and clarity.
Is this pedal hand-built?
Yes. Each Fuzz Off & Die pedal is hand-built in the USA with quality components and attention to detail, designed for reliability on stage and in the studio.
How is THE ‘Fuzz Off & Die’ Pedal powered?
Fuzz Off & Die runs on standard 9V DC center-negative power and draws a minimum of 20mA. It does not operate on a 9V battery and is designed for use with modern isolated pedalboard power supplies such as CIOKS, Voodoo Lab, and similar systems. For best performance, use a regulated, isolated 9V DC output.
Is ‘Fuzz Off & Die’ true bypass?
Yes. Fuzz Off & Die features true bypass switching, allowing your signal to pass directly through the pedal when disengaged for maximum signal integrity.
Will ‘Fuzz Off & Die’ fit on my pedalboard?
Yes. Fuzz Off & Die features a compact octagonal footprint designed to integrate easily into modern bass pedalboard setups.
Dimensions:
5.125" octagonal footprint x 1.5" depth.
Will this pedal work for live performance?
Absolutely. The simple control layout makes it easy to dial in quickly, and the circuit responds naturally to playing dynamics, making it well suited for both live and studio environments.
Does it work with active and passive basses?
Yes. The circuit responds well to both active and passive pickups, allowing players to shape the amount of grind and edge based on their instrument and touch.
Is it suitable for heavier styles of music?
Yes. While capable of subtle enhancement, Fuzz Off & Die can deliver aggressive, speaker-moving fuzz suited for hard rock, metal, punk, and beyond — without sacrificing the low end that drives the groove.
Does ‘Fuzz Off & Die’ ship free within the USA?
Yes. Orders within the United States ship free. International shipping is a flat $40 per order.
